Metal as it should be...

The Impossibility of Reason
Chimaira
(Roadrunner)

This lot produce a brand of metal that harkens back to the glory days of Bay Era Thrash. Not only do they do that, they put their own twist on it. This is not nu-metal, its new thrash. Think Slayer or very old Metallica, and you would be getting close. Its bloody good, one way or other. Good ole' head banging stuff that will have yer head a twitching after the first track. Twelve tracks of thrashing metal for the new century. And as you can imagine, there is not a bit of rap anywhere on here. Standouts tracks are not necessary to list, since they are all that good. This lot should be huge, an impressive effort indeed.

Rating: 4.5

Yo Mary,
They are also slamming live. Tight and powerful.

Yo MarTy,
Sorry dude, that mispelling of your name was not a slight! My fingers are freezing!

Don't worry, I am pretty thick when it comes to slights. You need to really try to be insulting for me to get it :) Oh yeah, I bought this CD. Some silly sod had sold it back to the record store so I got it for less than $10.

If you haven't checked out their previous release, you should. I think you'll dig that too. I saw that they jumped on to the last leg of Ozzfest, so their profile is growing maybe.
