I couldn't be much happier about the support we have received from our readers, writers, and supporters in the blog and mainstream press communities. If you had told me where we would be in a year when we launched last August I wouldn't have believed it. Our scopes of interest, areas of expertise, personalities, political viewpoints, geographical reach, and modes of expression, while dizzying in their varieties, are our greatest strengths.
We are always on the lookout for new writers with their own blogs (or blog-like sites) and an interest in popular culture to join our ever-expanding "sinister cabal." If you are interested or have any questions about the site, please feel free to email me.

Eric, dude, the anniversary is definitely today, the 12th. The stuff you did on Tres Producers doesn't count! The first Blogcritics post is clearly from August 12th, 2002. Note the lack of a link to a previous article! See also the official announcement from that same day, as well as my inaugural post, proving that I'm an old-timer.
