Maria Shriver is a Kennedy, so they naturally expect cheating husbands. By Kennedy standards, Arnold's pretty clean. You're going to need something other than cheap sexual scandals from the National Enquirer to knock him down. Jebus, but the liberals were SO aghast at sex scandals when the shoe was on the other foot of the former president.

Masterful, but many pols are cheats. BFD. I think it's more meaningful to slam Arnold for something that should matter to people not married to him, like his inexperience, his positions (not including missionary), the manner is which he treats people (including women), or his connections. (Although what kind of dolt would cheat on someone so accomplished and beautiful as Maria Shriver? What? She doesn't "understand him"? Whatever -- if he strayed, that is between him and his spouse.)

Governor Pitt (either Brad or Victoria- or both) could use sales of videos of their gubernatorial liaisons to pay off some of that state deficit. Politicians are whores anyway, so the people might just as well make the money for pimping them. I sense a campaign platform "coming together." Think fast though, Governor- your filing deadline is in about 24 hours.

Eek! My mind jumped to the notion of a Governor BRAD Pitt. My point about there being too many candidates stands, Victoria, after all, there are more than 500 are last count. But you might make a great governor, one never knows. Just know that the LOL was not directed at you.

Governor Pitt? LOL As if Cali needs yet another candidate. You know, there are so many people running, whoever wins could do so with as little as 20 percent of the vote. Meaning the governor would rule over a population where 80 percent of the electorate did not support her/him. That is completely insane. Arnie's mantra: "Trust me." As if. People who vote for an inexperienced, coddled movie star with no real idea as to how government works and can't just walk out of interviews when difficult questions are posed are FOOLS.

Governor Pitt- Feel free to get all the trim in the governor's office you want. One thing though: if any of it ends up in court for any reason, you may NOT lie about it under oath. That's a no-no.

What an interesting question! Imagine the melee that would cause if Davis decided to step down and Bustamente took over. After all, Davis is the target of the recall election, not his lieutenant governor/putative successor. If anyone knows the answer to this burning question, please share!

What happens if Gray Davis suddenly resigns? Would the recall election automatically be transformed into a special election? Or would the whole thing be put off to a later date? Inquiring minds want to know.

Recall after recall as Doc suggests would not be real feasible, on the grounds that each trip would require collecting a million or so signatures. However, if such an energy could be maintained, it would be not only fun, but a significant net plus for the state. being in a constant campaign, scurrying about and shaking hands would take up a lot of time and effort that this week's governor would then not be able to spend governing, ie SCREWING the voters.

I thought it would have been a great if after Arnie announced he's running, that Leno would turnaround and say that he would also. For $3,500 and 65 signatures any nutcase can and will run so it'll be a zoo. Let's recall whomever gets in next so we can keep it going. :)

Arnold is known as a womanizer. I think that is what is being referred to. He has been accused of having various affairs. It's hard not to believe if you ever been lucky to see some of his British and European interviews. His hands are all over. He's been toning down lately... but this is of course because he has his eye on political office. He's just waiting to do what all politicians do... Have sex on that official desk. Hell, if I were made president of the US, you can BET I would be doing the nasty in the oval office... Just cause I can... And I'd save the world while I was at it too!

Dear C Cancer- Did you forget your medication today? Why else would you say something so PRIMA FACIE stupid as this? This man's commitment to violence and sexism makes him prima facie unfit for office. I have never heard of Mr. Schwarzenegger beating anyone up. He seems to be very good natured. And what do you mean by "sexism?" Do you just mean he that he likes to get some? I'm no Republican, and only a medium fan of his work, but he's a pretty benign figure. You perhaps need to take up this unwarranted hostility with a counselor.

I honestly am having trouble soming up with two people who are more repulsive than Jay Leno and the Terminator. This man's commitment to violence and sexism makes him prima facie unfit for office.
