Boys Don't Cry in reverse

Here's an interesting local Indianapolis murder story.
From WRTV and Yahoo News:
Paul Moore, 20, was arrested Thursday afternoon and faces two preliminary counts of murder in the deaths of Gregory Johnson, 17, and Brandie Coleman, 18.
The bodies of the two teens were found in a burning Jeep July 23 at Fall Creek Corridor Park. Officials later determined that the victims had been shot before the vehicle was set on fire.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by RTV6, Moore admitted that he and some friends had met Coleman, Johnson (who he referred to as "Nireah") and another girl July 20.
Moore reportedly said that he believed Johnson was a girl because "she was dressed as a girl, and he was attracted to her."
Moore said "Nireah" kissed him on the cheek when they parted, and that they had plans to meet up later, according to the affidavit.
Police said Moore denied meeting up with Johnson at a later date, but admitted to talking to her on the phone a few times after their initial meeting.
Coleman's family reportedly told investigators that Johnson often dressed as a girl and enjoyed tricking people into believing he was a female.
Facts are obviously still being figured out, but it doesn't sound like Johnson was necessarily even gay. Sounds as if he just liked being able to pass for a girl.
I can put myself into the murderers place enough to see how he might find himself feeling tricked and embarassed, maybe even somewhat humiliated. But in trying to understand his motivation for this wickedness, I can't for the life of me understand how such a thing would stir near deep enough emotions to make you even want to kill even just the guy, let alone the girl who was with him.
What could Moore have been thinking? He killed this kid for tricking him into a peck on the cheek?

gregory tricked paul moore why should he be enlightened he was not a gay male so why should he have been fooled by gregory(nireah).Mr. gregory was wrong and may have been responsible for his death because he challenged mr. moore manhood, i believe he violated mr. moore and would have continued to play him as a fool.yes mr. moore was wrong but put yourself in his shoes he is a father and a straight male his reaction was normal. i feel sorry for mr. moore because he was bascially set up by fate to commit this crime. i feel sorry for his son because he will never no his father. my heart goes out to mrs. coleman children to because there is another child with out a parent . i feel sorry for parties involved but felt this situation avoided.

Nireah was not trying to trick anyone. Nireah identified as a female and, in her heart, she was a female. Put yourself in her shoes. All her life, she was probably called "sissy" and "fag" which made her isolated and alone. Moore made her feel good about herself and attractive. She felt validated as her true self.
She was NOT trying "trick" him. She was being herself and he was attracted to her. How could you put yourself in Moore's shoes? A rational and confident person would not have felt "tricked". He would feel "enlightened".
