I'd say Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law is the best and sadly, The Brak Show is probably the worst. Sealab 2021 and all the others are great also. However, I wouldn't equate the humor in these shows to Southpark though. There's no societal message that the humor makes towards anything. I'd say the comedy in these shows equates more to Leslie Nielson movies. It makes no sense and has no pretense but it's hilarious.

Kudos to you for recognizing the comedic genius which visits this land every Sunday night. Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sealab 2021 are rightly identified as the crown jewels of this weekly treasure trove.

But I do have one quibble... the Oblongs. Perhaps it's just me and my pals, but everything about that show screams "forced" and "formulaic". It's rather telling that the members of the animated Happy Meal on Aqua Teens are more believable than any of the shock-stock characters on Oblongs.

RJ, you need to remove the link to adultswim.com from the title - clicking it in the main page of Blogcritics takes us instead to the Adult Swim site instead of your piece. I had to go to your site, find your link to this piece there, and then come back to be able to read it.

Personally, I love Home Movies and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but really wish Cartoon Central would wise up and move these to a night I can actually stay up and watch the whole thing on - Sunday is just a bad choice overall.
