My lovely bride and I were in Breckenridge, CO over the weekend for a family reunion. The stars aligned properly, or so I thought, and KBCO was holding it's summer World Class Rock Festival in Winter Park, CO, a hop, skip and chair lift from Breckenridge (about an hour and a half).

Big Head Todd and The Monsters, while not headlining, were playing on Sunday, Day Two, of the Festival and I managed to once again get put on the list for two passes thanks to Erik Filkhorn.

To get to see BHTTM, in Winter Park, the place I first discovered them on CD 10 years ago this summer, would have been the highlight of my year.

Sometimes it pays to read the fine print.

We had family reunion responibilites until about 1:30 on Sunday, and upon arriving in Breckenridge I called the KBCO business office to find out what time BHTTM would be taking the stage Sunday. They didn't know.

The Festival started at 10:30 and there were two acts going on before BHTTM who were being followed by The Goo Goo Dolls and Lyle Lovett and the whole thing would be over by about 6:30.

I did the math and realized that BHTTM would be taking the stage sometime around the time I was eating lunch, a command presence, with family members. By the time we could get there BHTTM would either be finished or finishing up their set. I am sure, based on previous experiences, that it was a great set.

Who starts a freaking Rock and Roll Festival at 10:30?
