"Clear Skies," my ass

Black is white, up is down, fake is real, division is unity, debt is prosperity, tax shifts are tax cuts, secrecy is openness and more pollution leads to "Clear Skies."

Howard Dean's Blog for America has a petition you can sign to oppose the Bush Administration's misleadingly titled "Clear Skies" initiative. From the blog:

Today, the House Energy and Commerce Committee's energy and air quality subcommittee held its first hearing on the Bush Administration's "Clear Skies" Initiative. The initiative threatens to weaken existing controls on mercury emissions and lead to thousands of deaths and serious respiratory problems for millions of Americans. Instead of environmental interests, it serves the interests of big industries responsible for pollution.

I don't want to see environmental regulations relaxed, basically period, but the real point here is a perceived pattern of disinformation I don't accept.
