I gotta admit that I find Savage's radio program rather entertaining. His show on MSNBC, however, was painful to watch. I believe this incident was a direct result of one of three things:

1 - He was desperate for ratings and was deliberately trying to say something outrageous to get some media attention. His error was to cross the line so far as to lose his gig.

2 - He was sick of embarrassing himself every Saturday afternoon, and deliberately let loose with such a vile attack for the purpose of being canned.

3 - He is just a loose cannon, a wildman, and such a statement was going to come out of his mouth sooner or later.

Well, I am glad he got the axe. At the same time, I see the point of those who said MSNBC should not have been the least bit surprised by Savage's savagery. They knew what he was before they hired him in the first place.

Liberal can and do say equally outrageous things on a regular basis without being called out on the carpet. This is another reason that air america will fail. It will drown in a sea of virtually saturated liberal media.
