How did I miss this story when it broke a few days ago? First I knew of it was when I read the Telegraph this morning and by God there was Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, surrounded in his tank, as it were. And yes, he's unrepentant about his recent media career:

In an interview with Abu Dhabi TV broadcast one evening, Sahaf defended his media briefings during the conflict.
"The network for collecting and transmitting information was much stronger in the governorates than in Baghdad. The information was correct, but the interpretations were not ... I did my duty up to the last minute."

Yes, taking the fact of American tanks rolling through Baghdad and calling it a victory for the Iraqi forces could indeed be construed as an incorrect interpretation...
