Born June 26, 1904, today would be Peter Lorre's 99th birthday.
He's best known for his small role in Casablanca, but his personal best one piece of work is in the 1931 movie M, as a young, baby-faced pedophile murderer. Indeed, this role earned him a spot on my list of all-time movie villains.
Also, don't forget his work in The Maltese Falcon.

Thanks for reminding me that I really need to call up M on Netflix. That Casablanca role may have been small, but it was important and he played it very well.

That role in M was an amazing debut. Also not to be forgotten is his performance as Dr Gogol in Mad Love. For pop-eyed perversity, that one's hard to beat.
