Groovy Prince resource

Prince is coming back into season down here on the farm. Not having listened to him much in a couple of years, I'm struck fresh by what a freakin' genius the guy is even if he never makes another good record. I'm also noticing some lesser known gems from the later years, starting with "Dig U Better Dead" from the perhaps underappreciated Chaos and Disorder album.

While hunting for Prince info, The Purple Music Experience maintained by a Jakob Olsen- no relation to our Eric as far as I know- struck me as a particularly good basic Prince resource page. He's got comprehensive lyrics (most importantly), photos and links.

If you're wanting to bone up on your basic Prince stuff, Jakob is the man.

Oh, and I have some Prince essays collected back on morethings at Prince: The Beatles of Funk.

Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and Sarah Palin and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.
