Axis of Weasels moves to London, Washington next?

LONDON: Giving evidence to the Commons foreign affairs select committee' inquiry into the UK's decision to go to war with Iraq, a top UK scientist has accused the government of "weasel words" over its claims about Saddam Hussein's weapons capability.

Two ex-cabinet ministers also expressed their doubts and one, Claire Short, told the committee she believed the US and UK decided in summer 2002 that there should be a war against Iraq in early 2003.

The London inquiry comes ahead of a similar probe by Congress in Washington into whether the Bush administration misread or inflated threats posed by Iraq before going to war

The French are keeping their heads down, although I have noticed 'une grimace' here and there.
