Yes New York Compilation- Wolfgang Worden Records 2003
Published June 05, 2003
A smattering of bands from NY from the media hyped Strokes and Interpol, to the white hot dance punkateers Radio 4 and The Rapture and to the lesser publicized Calla, The Natural History and Longwave, together for charity- Musicians on Call
"Apparently an effort dreamed up by the New York chamber of commerce in conjunction with Vice Recordings, this compilation makes quite an effort to remind everyone that, despite being the city that gave birth to Foreigner, C + C Music Factory and Sha Na Na, it also gave birth to some pretty sweet acts (remember The Ramones, Blondie and the New York Dolls?). While the record wants to cash in on the town's CBGB's glory days (its title is a play on 1978's No New York no-wave compilation), it sits somewhere between the glorious return of New York rock and its Foreigener-styled lows."
Indiedisco
"If this disk is any indication, New York is the most happening scene in indie America right now."
