Forget Cassettes - Instruments in Action

If it were possible to caputre the emotions of the wind and place it into digital format then Forget Cassettes would stay as gentle as the breeze and as fierce as a hurracaine. You'll put up your collar and fold your arms for warmth as this breeze joins with the beauty of the stars. Take to the basement when the winds pick up, the screaming air throwing fits and autos with little regard for the norm.

You see, as you Forget Cassettes, you'll remember that music isn't just about the musician, the number of members, the 1" pins, nor the major label affiliation. The art is displayed here in audio form, each track natrually reverberating, content in signalling in the rising tide of basic songwriting and uprooted emotion. If you insist on simplifying this CD to comparisons of two member groups then please reserve your judgements for the legions of bands who insist on including bass players.

In Instruments Of Action you have high mileage female vocals, bratty and at times odd-time signatured guitar swanking, and loud arrogant drums that keep the whole thing tied together. From butter-fly soft to intense straight rock you have a windstorm that leaves a silence and destructuve path in its wake.

I saw Forget Cassettes for the first time last night... un-f'ing-believable. The live energy was amazing. Very PJ Harvey-esque, but original all the same.
