Eminem's protege, rapper 50 Cent seems to have a very successful cd on his hands. The question is, will he live long enough to enjoy it?
It seems that Curtis Jackson (50 cent's real name) is keepin' it real in an all too real sense. The violence that surrounds his life has forced him to profess to always carrying a loaded weapon and wearing a bulletproof vest. Things only lower level rappers do to seem cool, not survive.
But what about the music? Well, from what I have heard of it - it's rates a three.

It is unfortunate that you encourage young people to turn to a life of gang violence and drugs. I teach at a Title One school, which serves a majority of inner city African-American students living in projects. They have little hope for a good future except by get themselves out of poverty through education, hard work, and self-determination.
I have a most difficult time motivating and teaching my students learn to read when all they do is look up to you as their hero. I have given my students reading logs to document what they read at home. They've literally thrown them on the ground and refuse to do work at home or at school. They do listen to your lyrics night after night and idolize how to get something for nothing. They act like little thug wannabes.
You are NOT a hero; you profit on the backs of our youth who see the easy way out, refuse to better themselves, and thus perpetuate the cycle of poverty.
I challenge you to come out to my school. I challenge you to give your blood-money profits to scholarships and to the Title One public schools of America.
You could be a positive influence to our youth that REAL men support their families, get an education, get real honest jobs and help others in their community. You could be a positive influence to have our youth turn away from the violent, easy life of drug dealers. You could tell the youth of America what life is really all about. I know you won't, Curtis, because you are a shameful, shallow profiteering coward.

I think that fifty is a brave and strong man. I love his music and it gives me inspiration even now. I recently an getting better from a severe car wreck and his music is the only thing that has continued to give inspiration and strength. I hope he even continues to do his thing and make that money . To me he is the perfect man if you can survive what he been through and, do what he has done shut your trap. I wish I could meet him.
