A Punk and his iPod
Published May 23, 2003
I know this link went around a bit yesterday, about NY'ers and their iPods, but I thought this quote from Billy Martin of Good Charlotte was notable.
When Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin left his iPod at home for a week, "it was absolutely terrible," he recalls. "I didn't have any music for so long," he said. "The iPod is pretty awesome, especially for touring because you bring all your CDs with you and they're either going to get broken or damaged."
I remember seeing a documentary about No Doubt, and the drummer (I think) showed off his iPod for a brief second. So maybe this whole iPod thing reaches far beyond the NYC folk and maybe there's a bigger story about punk rockers who show off their beloved MP3 (ahem, ACC) players.
