Comment by Jerry Redmond on Bill Whittle: Magic

I would like to see more bloggers--and more people in general--willing to acknowledge failure in predictions or policies and exhibit adaptability to the recognition of those failures under changing circumstances. Example: bloggers from Bill Whittle to Michelle Malkin have endorsed the invasion of Iraq and the attempted conversion of Iraq to a Western-style democracy. This attempt at stamping our template of democracy on an Islamic society was a noble effort but also a dismal failure. As events have shown, the Iraqis are not-ready-for-prime-time as a democratic and free people and trying to convert them to our way of life was pure folly. For those, like myself, who had endorsed the effort it is time to recognize this reality, end the folly, and pull the plug on our military occupation of that Middle Eastern country.
