Talking to Virgin Radio Paul McCartney has admitted he once wrote a song for Frank Sinatra, but the legendary singer knocked it back. Sinatra recorded a
version of the Beatles song 'Something' calling it the greatest love song
ever written - and from that point onwards became an admirer of Lennon and
McCartney (even though George Harrison wrote that song!). But Sinatra wasn't
so keen when McCartney put forward a new song for consideration.

"I once sent Frank Sinatra a song called Suicide," McCartney said, "I thought it was quite a good one - but apparently he thought I was taking the mickey out of him and he rejected it."
