*Intro*

Electronica-Optica is celebrating their 2nd anniversary by presenting
their first annual VJ & Visual Artist Conference in San Francisco on
May 17th, 2003 from 2pm - 2am. This conference will be one of the first in the US to highlight and showcase this growing visual culture.

*WORKSHOPS\SCREENINGS* (2pm-8pm) FREE

The afternoon workshops will be filled with a fun assortment of
software and hardware demonstrations for VJs, DJs, visual artists, and newcomers to this growing culture.

Bitz & Bytz Screenings An assortment of 5-10 minutes work from visual artists and producers from around the world. Featuring visuals by Addictive TV, D-Fuse, Benton C, eMovie Collective, Mickey T, Epsilon Labs, SquareSquare, Mindcandy, and more!

Dimension 7 - I Am A pre-screening of this locally produced epic
release, over 3 years in the making.

Yeast Films / Raya – Develop A visual commentary mixing shot footage and dialog from India and other countries, examining the economic and social impact of uni-culturalism. Music by Nitin Sawhney.

VJTV - Best of VJTV - Season One Featuring interviews and visuals by Arcane, Addictive TV, VJ Culture, Robotkid, VJ Luna, Suryummy, Absurde Collective, Jon DeKron, gMunk, Honeygun Labs, WDDG, and VJ Pixielight.

VJTV - Best of VJTV - Season Two Featuring Visualaudio, 47, Johnny Dekam, Imaginary Forces, Madame Chao, Blasthaus, Amoeba, Yeast, Tina Z, Speed Tribe, C-TRL, Just-D Phantasmagoria Video, Swipe, VJ V2, and Overlay06/Alpha Channel.


*AUDIO VISUAL PERFORMANCES* (8pm-2pm) small donation

The night celebration will feature performances by several outstanding artists from the Bay Area and the mid-west. Headlining the night will be VisualAudio, VJ Oz, and ESP - audiovisual performing artists that base their show on the video as much as the music (or more). Other performances will feature VJs and DJs playing together for exciting in- the-moment mixes that spawn a powerful experience for the eyes and ears.
