Catch Me If You Can

Catch Me If You Can, one of two excellent Spielberg films from last year is out on DVD (in what seems to be at an ever faster pace - this opened in December), is based on the life of Frank Abagnale (who only got $250,000 for the rights to his story - the history of the project is laid out in the New Market book).
DGA Magazine has a conversation between Spielberg and Scorsese about Catch Me.
Reviews
DVD File: "Catch Me If You Can is one of those movies I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of, even if it left me with no lasting emotional residue."
Susan King in the LA Times: "The two-disc DVD is equally entertaining, with an enjoyable behind-the-scenes documentary, a look at the casting...Williams' approach to composing the score, an interview with the real Abagnale, photo galleries, cast and filmmakers bios and production notes.
Of course, the viewing experience would have been even richer if Spielberg had provided an audio commentary, but he remains one of the major directors who continue to resist them."
Roger Ebert: "This is not a major Spielberg film, although it is an effortlessly watchable one."
From Blogcritics:
Matt Moore: "Both the major stars of the film, Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, were excellent. This is the kind of part that Leo was born to play..."
Solonor Rasreth: "As a movie, it was pretty fun and entertaining, if a tad too long."
Bobby Allison-Gallimore "I still recommend seeing this movie. It's a fun couple of hours (for the most part), and really is an intriguing story, made all the more intereting by being based on the real-life exploits of Frank Abagnale. The acting is good, the plot is adaquate, and it's the best way to see Leonardo DiCaprio this season if you don't like seeing him knifed and branded."
