Mae - Destination: Beautiful

Mae is straight-out-the-shrink-wrap impressive; there's no way around it. Imagine the love-child of U2 and The Juliana Theory and you pretty much have Mae (sans U2's political leanings and TJT's Deter-induced ego). While this release is no Joshua Tree, it's still an extraordinary debut.
Mae is sure to their attract their fair share of attention from their debut album Destination: Beautiful; but more importantly they are bound to charm the CD buying masses (that means the fan of Dave Matthews Band in front of you at your local record store will be buying the new Jack Johnson and the new Mae. Deal with it).
With bright and cheerful vocals Mae seems to have found a great sound that doesn't come off sounding pretentious or contrived (a feat many emo bands have yet to unearth).
