Unruly family

III
Unruly Child
(Frontiers)

A collection of sorts, dedicated to the UC family, this features much of the best of the past from a band who has had 3 singers in 3 albums. Philip Bardowell does an admirable job on such ole' faves as 'Unruly Child' and 'Tear Me Down". Still, he does not have the pipes of either Marcie (nee Mark) Free nor Kelly Hansen. The CD artwork is tad lame as well, but these things happen. A mixture of old and new, the older tracks stand out. This is a good introduction to a highly underrated band and not a bad, if not essential addition to the collections of any hard rock fan. The CD gave me hankering for the UC CD, but that is not always a bad thing.

Rating: 3.5/5

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
