Brian, Do keep in mind though that "Landslide" is virtually a note-for-note cover of an old Fleetwood Mac song.

And yes, Falwell is as dumb as a box of rocks, as ever.

'French hens'?!?!?!? (As opposed to a complete and utter cock?) 'Politics should end at the shore when you leave the country'?!?!?!?! (So what was George Bush doing on that aircraft carrier last week then? Being apolitical?!?!?) 'You don't talk about your own country, especially during war' (So wot do you talk about then? Market trends in Bulgaria?!?!?)

Methinks Mr Fallwell must get up early in the morning and practise in order to be so self-evidently stupid!!! Mind you, he is the one that felt threatened by Tinky-Wink of the flipping Teletubbies, so maybe stupidty comes naturally to him...

Way to overcome your prejudice Brian; I like them quite a bit, but honestly don't listen to them that much.

Well, I knew I was going to have to do it eventually.

I want to support the Dixie Chicks, but I was sure I wouldn't like their music, because they play country music and are not Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash or Lyle Lovett, which is usually a horrible combination of attributes. Still, my failure to reverse-boycott them was weighing on my conscience.

The convergence of two events--Rip Van Falwell's statements and the recent debut of the Apple Music Store--created a situation my conscience couldn't ignore.

So I made my first purchase of overpriced music at the Apple Store. I bought the Dixie Chicks "Landslide."

It's not bad. I'm not saying this because I admire Natalie Maines's courage (and midriff). I had no idea. I will actually be able to listen to this song more than once, getting my full 99 cents worth out of it.

Thanks, Rev. Falwell!
