Kazaa: Over 1 billion served

I just noticed a new benchmark in P2P variety. At 5 PM EST on Sunday, 4-27-2003, some 4,769,944 Kazaa users were at that moment sharing 1,022,941,857 files.

That's over 1 BILLION different files available, the first time I've noticed it in 10 digits. Even counting that a lot of those are duplicates, that's still a huge, beautiful bouquet of goodness in music, video, still images, and more.

Come on in kids, the water's fine!

Come and get us, coppers! ...if you think you can.

Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.
