Dismissed- Taking The Good With The Bad

I've had this cd for almost a week and I think I've sorted out my feelings about this cd well enough to pull together a review.

First of all, if you enjoy Thursday or Taking Back Sunday or any of those other bands get this cd right away. You don't even need to read the rest of this review.

Now for the rest of you. The music on this cd is quite good. But let me get the bad point out of the way first. The singing sucks. My first thought when he started to sing was, "Wait, did I put my Thursday cd in by mistake?" It doesn't really sound like he is attempting to copy Thursday, he just ends up sounding like them. However, every other factor of this cd is tight. The guitars know what they're doing and sound great. They manage to advoid the pitfall of being too predictable. As the music plays you can hear how the members of the band love music and love playing music. It doesn't feel dead. They breathe life into it.

In summary, good music bad vocals. If you can't stand the Thursday style of singing you may want to advoid this cd. Otherwise give it a shot.

Availible from Indie Vision Music.

peace.
