Luciano Pavarotti and Bono have been confirmed to perform at a charity
concert in Italy to raise funds for the United Nations Refugee Agency's work
in and around Iraq. The concert is set for 27 May in Modena, Northern Italy.

In a statement concert organisers said: "Proceeds from this event will go to
UNHCR's work on behalf of people affected by the Iraq conflict. Even though
very few Iraqis left their country during the first three weeks of the
conflict, aid officials warn that it is too early to dismiss the danger of a
refugee crisis."

Marty: Great cause, all though they may have trouble finding refugees from Iraq. The Red Cross is reporting a total of 500 refugees have gone into Jordan, most of whom were third-country nationals, who have since been sent home. This is a good cause however, and good on Bono & Pavarotti for getting it together quickly.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
