Murder City Devils "RIP"
Published April 09, 2003
Murder City Devils were only around for 5 years and yet the indelible fingerprint that they left on the scene can be seen in so many of the underground music communities up and coming stars. In their last releases, a live album from their last show--a Halloween night bash--is a collection that displays who these band mates were, and what made them tick as a collective.
On all 19 tracks of this CD there is personality behind the music--something that is missing in the scene today. Included on the album are classics such as; I Drink the Wine, Dancin' Shoes, Murder City Riot, 18 Wheels and Grace That Saves. You can tell by the shouts and screams of the fans in the crowd during each and every number that the Murder City Devils were a force in the scene. Daring and passionate, the Murder City Devils will be missed.
Overall, this is better than most live recordings. There is still the feel of being there, without the tin can sound. This disc, as well as this band is recommended for fans of the Dropkick Murphy's and Flogging Molly.
This album will be available on April 22, 2003.
