RIAA sues 4 college students

Talking about the suit RIAA President Cary Sherman told reporters: "These
systems are best described as 'local area Napster networks'. The court ruled
that Napster was illegal and shut it down. These systems are just as illegal
and operate in just the same manner.

Marty: The RIAA continues to make itself hated while at the same time losing the fight against online piracy. These suits will be ineffectual in stoping downloading of MP3s. One wonders if the RIAA is planning to sue every single one of the thousands of colleges and universities in the US.
