Xerophonics - Copying Machine Music
The title of this album is literal. "Copying Machine Music" is made from looped samples of the sounds made by photocopying machines. The album features 13 tracks:
Xerox 265DC 2:58
Xerox 5828 2:20
Xerox 5818 3:33
Panasonic FP-7742 (ID# 7895) 4:18
Canon Imagerunner 210S (Serial# NPQ00023) 3:36
Toshiba (2060) 2:26
Xerox 5828 3:34
Canon NP 6545 (Serial# NCJ12633) 2:45
Konica 4355 2:41
Xerox Docucolor 12 2:19
Matrix 12510-12 4:15
Minolta EP 6001 CS PRO (Serial# 21742775) 3:36
Xerox 5435 (Bookmark 35) 4:34
Untitled Track 0:07
Almost all of the tracks have a good beat and you can dance to it somewhat ambiently. What's surprising is how musical these tracks are.

Eric: very punny.
This album is available through emusic.com. I already had it on my wishlist, but went ahead and downloaded it after reading Jim's mini-review. It really is quite interesting, certainly not the cacophony you'd expect. It won't exactly make my list of all-time favorite soothing music, but what they've done with pure samples is really pretty incredible. Has my vote for most unique album so far this year.

Yes, but can it be reproduced?
