Albany, NY hardcore (oh fine, call it metalcore) band Burning Bridges sent me their full length CD, "The Best Revenge". Oh man. It rocks me.

Plenty of classic hardcore riffs, 1-2's and heavy heavy HEAVY breakdowns that quickly transition back into fast rhythms. The vocals are urgent but don't sound forced, the gang vocals are freakin inspirational (I WILL NOT BE DENIED!), the guitar work is inventive and the drums are simply impressive at times. No crappy, watered-down metalcore here. If you dig stuff like Terror or Most Precious Blood, you'll dig Burning Bridges.

If you like to point your finger and scream into the mic and THEN headwalk, fall into the pit and spinkick to your heart's content, Burning Bridges are for you, kid. Visit their website and pick up "The Best Revenge." You're not gonna be disappointed.
