If there's no war, the world will be a better and safer place. If there's no war, the message will go out that collective security arrangements, however flawed, can still preserve the peace. If there's no war, the "world plebiscite on Iraq" will have been won by the masses, who overwhelmingly, and without hesitation, oppose the war.

If there's no war, the U.S. public will hopefully (a boy can dream) focus its attention on the depraved partnership between far right evangelicals (many of whom are anti-Semitic, as Billy Graham boasted in that taped conversion with Nixon during the Vietnam War) and pro-Likud Jews (who by their actions are trashing the magnificent contributions that Jews, the most advanced and civilized culture in the history of the world, have made to America). "No war" will break the death grip of U.S. hegemony and allow other nations, like France and perhaps Brazil, to organize countervailing power blocs. "No war" will preserve the inspections regime in Iraq, which, by its diligent efforts, can hopefully set the stage for Saddam to agree to U.N. standards on human rights and then surrender power, truly freeing the Iraqi people to build a proud and prosperous nation.

I say "Shock and Awe" the War Party into submission and then worship the clear blue sky that emerges, bathing our children in its warm, bright glow.
