Comment by John on New Product Identifier for Digital Music

Another type of identifier--question:

I've got cassette tapes I recorded years ago from radio; music that was never identified as to title or band.

Might anyone be aware of a type of search engine--would take a huge database, true--out there on the web where one can play an excerpt from a song, then have the search engine give suggestions as to it's name, origin, player/singer/band, etc.?

I feel the web could use something like this if it's not out there already....
