Title: The Odyssey
Group: Symphony X
Label: InsideOut

As with Virgin Steele, Symphony X find Greek mythology a great source of inspiration. The band have produced a solid piece of epic metal, that does not drag or falter. While this lot are not at the same level as Therion or Opeth, they deliver a damn good slab of metal. This is the band's best effort to date and one well worth having. The Odyssey may not be what you turn to for your daily dose of heavy metal, but its great when you are in the mood for a musical adventure. If Stratovarious, Rhapsody or Virgin Steele are your bag, then you will just love this CD.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found on: CD Baby His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
