New Democractic Party

Let me be first to welcome Jack (cough) Layton to the leadership of the NDP.

(Yeah, I know you 'murricans are going to call him a Commie, but screw you)

Can you smell this rock we're cookin'?

Why did Jack win, I'll tell you, he was the only candidate to get original music composed and performed for his campaign. Albeit it was by Parachute Club and Bare Naked Ladies and really only reworking an old tune, but hey, work is work.

(And yes, I did listen to the convention on the radio, it is still too friggin cold to go to the mall)

Also, they used internet voting, and teevee really hates internet voting for conventions because your two visuals are blinkin' lights on racks and sysadmins (no blinkin' lights on the sysadmins). Teevee death.

Update: it has come to our attention that Layton won the leadership of the Nude Democratic Party. We regret the error.
