<description>There is already a privitized tax on CD-R and audio cassettes (remember them?) in Canada. The body which administers the fund has collected about $23 million, but hasn&#039;t disbursed a cent. They say it is difficult. Meanwhile, I have to pay a tax to these idiots to backup on CD any files I create for clients, and for version tracking (creating web sites, it is good practise to do a constant CD backup using Retrospect which gives you versioning, or use *nix to do the same thing).

The whole thing is corrupt and stupid and just outright theft by the majors.
