Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - New Line (In Theaters)
Genre: Fantasy, Adventure, War, Literature
Watchability: Immensely watchable, even at three hours
Philosophy: Norse-influenced, Roman Catholic-tinged and epic-scaled. Choices matter and we are each personally responsible, but life is hard and there are forces at work in the world bigger than we are.
Suitability: Not suitable for young children. Probably not as scary as the previous film, but contains more possibly-enduring images of violence, including a decapitated Uruk-Hai head on a stick.
