Koch will release Songs From the Material World: A Tribute to George Harrison in February, which

will include contributions from former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, the late Who bassist John Entwistle, Todd Rundgren, the Byrds' Roger McGuinn, the Kinks' Dave Davies, and former members of the MC5 and the Black Crowes, among others. Songs From The Material World is due from Koch Records on February 25, which would have been Harrison's 60th birthday. He died November 29, 2001, following a long battle with cancer.
Rundgren kicks off the set with a rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," while Wyman rolls out "Taxman," Entwistle runs through "Here Comes The Sun," Davies delivers "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)," and McGuinn offers "If I Needed Someone." Other tracks on Songs From The Material World include "What Is Life" by Peter Frampton, "Old Brown Shoe" by Mountain singer-guitarist Leslie West, "I, Me, Mine" by former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford, "Devil's Radio" by Masters Of Reality, "It's All Too Much" by former MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer, "Isn't It A Pity" from Edward Burch and former Wilco member Jay Bennett, "Within You, Without You" by Big Head Todd & the Monsters, and "I Want To Tell You" by the Smithereens.
