Fox says Kelly still rules:

    American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is receiving support from the Fox Television Network in the wake of allegations in a tabloid report claiming that she was ineligible for the program and that she misled the show's producers.

    ....Fox; FremantleMedia, which produces American Idol for Fox; and 19 Entertainment, which is run by the show's executive producer Simon Fuller, issued a collective statement on the singer's behalf that reads: "Kelly Clarkson is not a 'liar' (or) a 'cheat.' She did not breach any rules of the competition. She won the American Idol competition fairly and was rightfully chosen by the American public as their American Idol."
