Airport Loops

Speaking of sound loops, I have indicated on several occasions that I am fascinated with ambient music: music designed to create a mood environment without resorting to elevator banality. Brian Eno's Music For Airports is one of the seminal works of the field.

Norm Friesen has created a site that graphically represents the loops that went into the creation of track "2.1" from the album. Once the process is started (on Quicktime) the seven loops set off on their own paths and recombine randomly. Very cool.

Career media professional Eric Olsen is honored to be the founder and publisher of Blogcritics.org, which, quite frankly, rules - as do his wife and four children.
