Starflyer 59 - Can't Stop Eating EP
Published December 12, 2002
Dear dirty rotten thief,
You stole my new Starflyer 59 EP on my flight home. I'm pretty sure it was on the flight from LA to Boise, but I'm not exactly sure. I know that I didn't lend it to you because I didn't lend anyone any of my CDs on any flight that I took, so I'm pretty sure that you intentionally stole it while I was sleeping.
I am pretty pissed off, but to tell the truth I don't really blame you for stealing it. It's a great CD that's bound to give Starflyer 59 more deserved recognition in the music industry. The cover the Damien Jurado's song Happy Birthday John is a cover that even the original artist could be proud of. I can't remember the title of that song about these being the best times of our lives, but you should thoroughly enjoy that one as well. In all probability, you will enjoy the entire EP, because every song (with the possible exception of Theme from Drumbleberry or whatever it's called) is an example of how Starflyer 59 has grown tender and ultra-personal as a band.
Honestly I hope you listen to some crap like Hoobastank or maybe Avril Lavigne. Maybe then you won't want it anymore. If that's the case please send it back to:

yessss... good review good cd.
peace.
You might have mentioned that the "song about these being the best times of our lives" is a Bon Voyage cover, Jason's band with his wife. And the Dromedary Theme was written for an online story, meant to play while you read it.

Mike, very sorry for your loss, but great review. Thanks. I hope you get it back.
