iPods are like manna from heaven sent to feed hungry piraters of illigal music everwhere.
yummm...
peace.
Somehow I doubt that music piraters (who are too cheap to buy a CD) would dish out so much cash for an mp3 player.
I would bet that the majority of people using iPods use them with "legal" music, myself included.
Ross...ask for one for the holidays. My iPod has been the best purchase I've made in years. It is completely worth the extra dough.
I bought a replacement Apple laptop AC adapter about a month ago from www.laptopsforless.com and it works great. Is there any reason to think that a replacement Apple AC adapter would be any less reliable than the manufacturers? Is there any risk of fire given all the fire issues that have emerged recently?

I've been pondering purchasing one of these for a few months now. It'd be great to bring on my business trips, not to mention for jogging, working out, etc. I even considered asking for one for the holidays. But then I remembered: I still haven't programmed my 300 CD changer. When the heck am I going to have time to input 4000 (or even 1000) songs onto the thing?
If you buy one, let me know how it works out.
