Sony gots a lobby

Sony forms a lobby. Didn't Betamax teach you people a lesson? You have to provide stuff which is useful and useable, and don't tax the users. (Betamax failed because Sony charged a royalty which JVC didn't with VHS)

But then, if you look at minidisc, I guess they didn't learn. Somebody needs a spanking.

Now that I think about it (hold on, a coming trend in blogging! thinking before posting! Get me rewrite!) Sony's biggest successes have been with open source-ish projects in conjunction with other companies, for example, CD (Red Book standard with Philips) and cassette (Norelco also with Philips). Maybe you'd think they'd learn a lesson.
