The Best Albums: 1978-2002

Albums of my Life
Okay, here are the ground rules: I pick one album for each year of my life, based on no criteria other than how much I like them and what they mean to me. And no one artist can represent more than one year.
And yes, since I'm only 24, I missed "The White Album" by ten years, "Born to Run" by four, and "Songs in the Key of Life" by two. And if you think that there was substantially more good music produced in the 24 years before my birth than in the 24 years since then, well, you're right.
Here we go:
 "Some Girls" (The Rolling Stones)
 "The Wall" (Pink Floyd)
 "Back in Black" (AC/DC)
 "Escape" (Journey)
 "Thriller" (Michael Jackson)
 "Synchronicity" (The Police)
"Born in the USA" (Bruce Springsteen)
 "Tim" (The Replacements)
 "Slippery When Wet" (Bon Jovi)
 "Hysteria" (Def Leppard)
 "G'n'R Lies" (Guns 'n' Roses)
 "Storm Front" (Billy Joel)
 "Flood" (They Might Be Giants)
 "Nevermind" (Nirvana)
 "Automatic For the People" (REM)
 "Doggystyle" (Snoop Doggy Dogg)
 "Vitalogy" (Pearl Jam)
"Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" (Smashing Pumpkins)
 "Pinkerton" (Weezer)
 "OK Computer" (Radiohead)
 "Stunt" (Barenaked Ladies)
 "Play" (Moby)
"All That You Can't Leave Behind" (U2)
 "Is This It" (The Strokes)
 "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" (Wilco)

I still have not heard the Wilco album so I guess I need to. Replacements "Tim" is an absolute classic.
