It's three full days of bibliophilic fun on Book TV this weekend starting Saturday morning at 8 a.m. airing over C-SPAN2

Saturday, October 26 (All times Eastern)

8 a.m. Children's Books. From Will Rogers Elementary School in Oklahoma City, Governor Frank Keating and illustrator Mike Wimmer read and discuss their picture book biography of Oklahoma native Will Rogers (Harcourt). (Re-airs at 12 p.m.)

10 a.m. Katherine Harris, Center of the Storm: Practicing Principled Leadership in Times of Crisis

11 a.m. Gary Hart, Restoration of the Republic: The Jeffersonian Ideal in 21st-Century America

7 p.m. Encore Booknotes. First aired in May 2001, this segment features Morton Kondracke, author of Saving Milly (Ballantine), a memoir of his marriage and life with Millicent Martinez and the physical and emotional effects of Parkinson's disease. Kondracke also chronicles his own evolution from careerist to caregiver and disease activist. (Re-airs Sunday at 11 a.m.)

8 p.m. Public Lives. From Stamford, Conn., in an event hosted by Just Books, Linda Chavez, president of the Center for Equal Opportunity in Washington, D.C., and Senator Orrin Hatch (R., Utah) discuss their respective political memoirs, An Unlikely Conservative: The Transformation of An Ex-Liberal and Square Peg: Confessions of a Citizen Senator (both Basic). (Re-airs Sunday at 11 p.m.)

11 p.m. History on Book TV features Mary Beth Norton, author of The Devil's Snare: The Salem Witchcraft Crisis of 1692 (Knopf), who argues that the outbreak had less to do with sorcery than paranoia and fear in the colonies caused by losses from the first and second Indian wars. (Re-airs Sunday at 8 p. m.)

12 p.m. Featured Program: a series of events from this year's Southern Festival of Books, which was held October 11-13 in Nashville, Tenn.
