Danko Jones it Large!

Ian Bacchus and I attended the Danko Jones gig at the Metro Club on Oxford Street in London. Got to tell you: Sludgefest, who opened, left us both as cold as the weather outside. Danko then reminded the crowd why we all like live rock music. The trio are tight as a Scot at the pub, when it's his round. Their hour long set impressed the decent sized crowd with the band's oodles of talent. It is very hard for a band to impress when most of the crowd have never heard their tracks. DJ had no such problems with their catchy hard rock stylings. DJ himself had the crowd eating out of his hands by the second song. His stage rap's clever and short enough to work. These guys deserve to be huge and probably will be. I would recommend you catch them now while you can still see them in an "intimate" setting. A band to look out for in the coming months.

Remember you heard it here first, Danko Jones rock, and rock hard! Be sure to seek out their latest: Born a Lion.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
