Waiting For Frodo

O.K. I realize that I'm a bit flippy for LOTR myself, but I don't see myself standing in line for five months...three maybe...
Anyway, I was looking around for Florida bloggers to add to my Floridians blogroll this afternoon. I used Globe of Blogs to search. After Florida, I checked in on Maine (only 4). Then, I got the bright idea to check for people my own age (physically, not mentally). Curiously, while there are several males born in 1962 on GOB, there is only one female--Debbie Ridpath Ohi of Blatherings.
Debbie is a writer of some fame (I'll let you go and read her biography), but what struck me were two of her associated sites--Hobbit/LOTR Revisited and Waiting For Frodo. The former is a journal of her re-reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings before The Two Towers comes out. If you've never read the books, or if you need a nice, non-scholarly refresher (and don't mind spoilers), go there.
The latter is an extremely funny comic strip. It is about the lives and loves, hopes and aspirations of a group of LOTR fanatics (appropriately named "Sam," "Rose," "Galadriel," etc.) and their tormenting Star Wars counterparts, as they wait in line for each movie. I'm sorry it took me so long to find.
Finally, Debbie is a member of a folk trio named Urban Tapestry. With such a great comic, how could they miss writing a song about it? They couldn't. Go to their site to listen to the song Waiting for Frodo.
Only 58 days, 6 hours, 53 minutes and 3 seconds left until The Two Towers opens. Um...excuse me will ya? I'm late for the line.
