EarthLink to sell blogging tools:

EarthLink plans to sell Trellix Corp. site-creation software and newly developed weblogging (aka blogging) tools. Companies can use the tools to create blog pages that include news, facts, lots of opinion, and links to related resources.

EarthLink hasn't disclosed pricing, but Trellix marketing director Matthew Malloy says customers are willing to pay up to $29.95 a month for the tools. Trellix, whose products are aimed at the 20 million small businesses in the United States, is negotiating similar deals with other ISPs, but Malloy says EarthLink is the largest one to date to say it will sell the tools.

(sounds like further erosion of the Blogger hegemony, how sad) As Glenn Reynolds mentioned in his TechCentralStation column, the barriers to entry are low and competition is high. But, the cream rises to the top and the best customers for blogs are other blogs, so bring on the EarthLinkers, baby.
