Bob Dylan, Elton John, Sting, Alanis Morissette, Ricky Martin, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo to appear on Voices Of Hope, benefiting the Sabera Foundation, set for release November 19 on Ark 21 Records:

The 14-track disc was conceived by actress Melanie Griffith and her sister Tracy, who both also perform, as does Griffith's husband, actor Antonio Banderas. Actress Penelope Cruz also makes an appearance.

The Voices Of Hope set features a duet between pop legend John and classical king Pavarotti on "Live Like Horses" and Sting and Vincente Amigo teaming up for "Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot."

....Founded in 1999, the Sabera Foundation is dedicated to creating shelter, health care, education, nutrition, and self-employment programs for young women in India. Cruz introduced Griffith and Banderas to the foundation, and the two women currently preside as co-presidents in the United States, along with supermodel Esther Canadas, who is director of the organization in New York.

Jeez, the crimes against music that are excused by the words "...but it's for charity!"

You forgot to mention that the album carries the first ever authorised cover version of John Lennon's "Imagine".

By -- wait for it -- Antonio Banderas.

Oh the humanity.
