The Instrumental piece Drunken Whistler is simply pretty. Luna's jamming! Britta's bass sounds heavily influenced by more recent Flaming Lips' releases and Sean's lead guitar sings in the absence of Dean's baritone.

New Haven Comet is another great song and features an almost western sounding lead guitar played by Sean Eden. The song also contains one of my other favorite lyrics off this EP "I'm late for a date/Our clocks move too fast and our heart beats a-haywire" There's never enough time in the day and I'm always rushing somewhere.

On to the videos. The video for Lovedust was partially filmed at the May 930 club show. (Luna had to play Lovedust twice because the camera guys did not have film loaded the first time, not that any of the fans minded of course). The rest of the video cuts to shots of the band playing on the streets of NY (looks like somewhere in NoHo to the best of my memory), what looks like Prospect Park, and inside of an art gallery where Luna performs as some sort of Marionette band display. It's a bit cheesy, and I swear at one point Dean shares a chuckle with Sean about the over-exaggerated lip syncing. It's cute, and it does not look like they are taking themselves too seriously, but to be honest, I hope I never have to see another Luna video. Some how the medium seems a poor fit. That said, the video for 1995 is a bit more "Luna" The action is split up into four separate screens that rotate much like a slot machine throughout the video flipping through images of the band playing and various images. The video starts with seeing the song's lyrics lit up in the Hollywood Hills, on various street signs and in shop windows. We then see the band's mug shots and various documents purportedly from 1995. It's not bad, and does not evoke the same "Quoi?" I experienced watching Lovedust.

Check out this EP, it is a great follow-up to Romantica and seems to follow logically down the love soaked path Luna blazed with their full-length release, and I loved the free matchbook I received with it.
