B-Movie Hall of Fame Adds Victims

Website B-Movie Theater announces this year's inductees to the B-Movie Hall of Fame:
- "B-Movies have long been ignored by the critics and award-givers, but audiences love them and have kept the B-Movies alive all of these years," says Ron Bonk, founder of B-Movie Theater and curator of the B-Movie Hall of Fame. "That's why we open the voting to the film lovers around the world who can't get enough of the B-Movies. Every year, we receive more and more votes on a wide number of classic films and iconic stars and filmmakers. The B-Movie Hall of Fame is the moviegoer's way of saying thanks to the great films and great people who created them!"
During the first four years of voting, the B-Movie Hall of Fame has inducted the following icons of the genre: Forest J. Ackerman, Samuel Z. Arkoff & James H. Nicholson, The Bowery Boys, Hillary Brooke, Bruce Campbell, Jeanne Carmen, William Castle, Jackie Chan, Lon Chaney Jr., Roger Corman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Peter Cushing, Tamara Dobson, Godzilla, George "Gabby" Hayes, Inoshiro Honda, Joseph Kane, Boris Karloff, Lloyd Kaufman & Michael Herz, Bruce Lee, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Arthur Lubin, Bela Lugosi, Jayne Mansfield, Russ Meyer, Jack Nicholson, Parker Posey, Elvis Presley, Vincent Price, Ronald Reagan & Nancy Davis (Reagan), George Romero, Emil Sitka, Barbara Steele, the Three Stooges, Lee Van Cleef, Mamie Van Doren, Jan-Michael Vincent, John Waters, John Wayne and Edward D. Wood Jr.

MARIO BAVA. Italian director who helmed the horror masterpieces "Black Sunday" (1960), "The Whip and the Body" (1963) and "Blood and Black Lace" (1965).

How can they leave Claudia Jennings off the list?
I can imagine the agony of trying to pick just one Russ Meyer film for induction. They need to have a lifetime achievement award and give it to him.

I like them, but not that much.
When I posted, I got the hourglass for a long time, and then an error message about not being able to communicate. I thought that meant that my post, my important, vitally important post didn't make it all the way to blogcritics.

You're right, though: it's a crime and shame that only one Russ Meyer film (albeit a great one) is on the list. And where's my favorite Cronenberg flick, The Brood?
